Community Rules & Terms of Use

Operated by Ethiopian Christian Fellowship Church UK · Contact media@ecfcuk.org

Minimum age

You must be 13 or over to submit a prayer request or any other content in this app. Children under 13 are welcome to read the Bible, listen to sermons, follow Sunday school lessons and play the games, ideally alongside a parent or guardian, but they should not post content.

Our community rules

The app is a place of prayer and fellowship. When you submit content, you agree not to post:

  • Abuse, insults, harassment, bullying or threats towards any person
  • Hateful content targeting race, religion, nationality, disability, sex, gender or sexuality
  • Sexual or sexually explicit content of any kind
  • Content that encourages self-harm, suicide, or an eating disorder
  • Personal details about another person (full name plus address, phone number, health or immigration status) without their permission
  • Anything illegal, or content that promotes violence, terrorism or criminal activity
  • Advertising, fundraising appeals, spam or repeated posting
  • Content that impersonates a church leader, member or the church itself

Please also take care with your own privacy: you may leave the name field blank and submit a prayer request completely anonymously.

How content is reviewed

Every prayer request is reviewed by a church administrator before it appears to anyone else. Nothing you submit is published automatically. An administrator may decline, edit-out or remove a request that breaks these rules, and may do so without notice where the content is harmful or illegal.

Reporting content

If you see something on the prayer wall that breaks these rules, tap the Report icon on that request and choose a reason. Reports go straight to the church administrators. We aim to review every report within 3 working days, and sooner where content appears to put someone at risk.

You can also report anything by email to media@ecfcuk.org. If you believe someone is in immediate danger, please contact the emergency services on 999 first.

A report records only the reason you chose, your optional note, and the app's anonymous device ID. It does not record your name.

If your content is removed

If a request of yours is declined or removed and you believe that was a mistake, email media@ecfcuk.org and a church administrator will look at it again. Repeatedly breaking these rules may result in the church declining future submissions.

Church and Bible content

Sermons, teachings, Sunday school lessons, announcements and reading plans are published by the church. They are provided for personal and church use. Please do not re-upload or re-sell them elsewhere without permission.

Online safety

This app is a small community service. We keep it safe through prior review of all user submissions, clear rules, an in-app reporting route, and prompt removal of anything that breaks these rules. We keep written risk and children's access assessments and review them at least once a year, in line with UK online safety expectations for a service of this size.

Your privacy

How we handle data is set out in our Privacy Policy.

Changes

We may update these rules as the app grows. The current version always appears on this page.
